BIRMINGHAM SCHOOL OF ACTING GRADUATE WINS BEST NEWCOMER AT BIRMINGHAM FESTIVAL

Gabrielle Killick is named Best Newcomer at the Birmingham Festival following her performance in “The Morning After”, an exciting new play by Darren Heywood.

Gabrielle graduated from The Birmingham School of Acting in June and this is her first performance since leaving the drama school.

Gabrielle says, “This is a dream start for me. It’s a fantastic role and I was really fortunate to get it.  After studying for three years at the Birmingham School of Acting, it’s great to finally be out there and performing to a real audience”.

Gabrielle Killick has been named Best Newcomer at the Birmingham Festival following her performance as Niamh in “The Morning After” at the Blue Orange Theatre.

It’s a modern take on a comedy of manners with a great opening scene. Niamh (Gabrielle) wakes up in a flat with a guy she doesn’t know (Sam / Jacob Wright) and neither can remember the night before.

Then they discover there’s a hooker sleeping in the bath (Echo / Kimesha Campbell) and she’s the only one who has any idea how they all got there.

The audience loved it and the play has attracted some great reviews

Gabrielle graduated from The Birmingham School Of Acting in June and this is her first performance since leaving the drama school.

Gabrielle first came to prominence with her one woman comedy show, “May I Take Your Order” which debuted last year at the Edinburgh Festival. Since then, she has performed the show at venues across the country.
